Circut City stores are the American stores which sell personal computers, electronic products and entertainment software etc. It is considered as the second largest electronic retailer after Best Buy. The total stores of the company in the world are about 567. In Canada Circut City has 765 retail stores and the demands of the products offered by the company is also high in Canada.The company offers a number of products but the two major achievements of the company are mentioned here. The major achievement of Circut City is the introduction of DIVX in 1997. The company has also launched firedog brand that provides home theater installation services to the customers, therefore, the company has quickly responded to the increasing scope of service sector. Therefore, Circut City has built a good reputation in the world market.
For enhancing the quality of the products Circut City introduced six sigma program in 2001. Circut City has always participated actively in the community programs. It has always contributed actively in the charitable causes and the company has also organized various events like softball games, bake sales and car washes .
The company also started Boys & Girls Club of America in 2001 with BGCA as a partner. Another partner of Circut City is Habitat for Humanity and they contributed in the construction of various houses and made charitable contribution to the Richmond. Circut City has also participated actively in American Red Cross Disaster Relief.
